Bronze medal winner at the 1971 Geneva International Competition, Eric Wilson was solo cellist with the Ensemble of New York in-residence at Lincoln Centre from 1971-75. He was also a founding member of the Emerson String Quartet when they won the prestigious Walter W. Naumberg Competition Prize for Chamber Ensemble in 1978. Co-founder and Artistic Director of the Mountain Laurel Chamber Music Festival (Roscoe, N.Y.), he has also appeared at the Marrowstone (Washington) and Mid-Summer Chamber Music (Liberty, N.Y.) Festivals, and with the Boston Chamber Players and the Lyric Piano Quartet.
