Sarah Edmondson is a local artist, whose passion for acting has taken her everywhere from performing as a series regular on CBC’s popular teen soap Edgemont to regularly lending her vocal talent on national radio commercials.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Sarah is deeply immersed in the arts and has dedicated herself to her craft. Starting with the Jewish Young People’s Theatre and Lord Byng Theatre Company in high school, she has never looked back. Sarah continued to pursue her dreams with dedication and graduated with distinction with a BFA in Theatre Performance from Concordia University.
Since returning from Montreal, Sarah has been working extensively in film, theatre, television, voice and in numerous independent film projects. Sarah has starred in a variety of YTV programs including Are You Afraid of the Dark, Student Bodies, Big Wolf on Campus and in series such as Stargate SG-1, UC:Undercover, Andromeda and in several movies of the week. She also recently worked with Lynne Stopkowitch in Chum’s new series Terminal City. Notable theatre credits include Talking With, The Last Adam and Upintheair’s Wedgie!. In the New Year, Sarah will be attending the prestigious Women in the Director’s Chair Workshop as an actor at the Banff Center.
Now a busy professional, Sarah is currently developing her voice as a performer playwright and with exploring her Jewish identity in the face of the Middle East conflict. Sarah is developing her first play entitled Dead Bird, which will be produced as part of the 2005 Chutzpah Festival. |
