Stanley Katz’s eclectic talents make him the perfect actor for this dynamic production of The Fever. A graduate of Ryerson Theatre School, Mr. Katz’s interest in a multi-disciplined approach to acting led him to collaborate with some of Canada’s most avant-guard and groundbreaking theatre artists including Peter Hinton, Denise Clark, Guillermo Verdechia, Karen Hines and Richard Armstrong.
Mr. Katz is as proficient and at home in Greek Tragedy as modern Clown or Contemporary Drama. He has worked with such established directors as Marti Maradin, Duncan McIntosh, Anne Wheeler and Philip Spink; and has acted in dozens of Independent plays, films, and network television shows.
All of this makes him a uniquely gifted artist to explore Wallace Shawn’s tremendously challenging, and singularly rewarding monologue. Mr. Katz also spent an extended period of time in Nicaragua, the country that inspired Mr. Shawn to write The Fever. For Mr. Katz this production is a one of a kind amalgamation of craft, language, movement, and heart. |
