James Gnam is in his second season dancing for the incomparable Ballet BC and has also performed with Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montreal, JoeInk, and dancersdancing.

Natalie LeFebvre-Gnam
A native of BC, Natalie LeFebvre-Gnam, was dancing as soon as she could walk. At a young age she trained locally, but then traveled to Montreal to pursue professional studies at L'Ecole Superieure de Danse du Quebec. While in her graduating year, Natalie worked with Le Jeune Ballet du Quebec, a youth company with whom she toured internationally, performing in both classical and contemporary pieces by such choreographers as Jean-Grand Maitre, Olivier Pereguey and Dominique Porte. Shortly following, she was asked to join Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal. This marked a first of several seasons with the company, touring and performing in many classical works, such as Gisele, Copelia and The Nutcracker.

Upon her return to British Columbian soil, Natalie has had the occasion of collaborating with some of Vancouver's foremost choreographers, such as John Ottmann and Wen Wei Wang. In June of 2003, Natalie joined dancersdancing, under the artistic direction of Judith Garay. Since her engagement with the company, she has performed in some of its repertory pieces as well as new contemporary creations by some of Canada's rising choreographers. In the winter of 2005, the company toured its most recent evening-length show, 4 Winds. The company is currently in creation for a new program called TWO.

In addition to her work with Garays repertory company, Natalie and husband, dancer/choreographer, James Gnam, have collaborated on the creations of three works (Jim on the Phone (2003), Pareidolia (2004) & and (2004)). The couple has been invited to present their repertoire in Toronto at the Series 8:08, on Vancouver Island at the InFrinGinG Dance Festival, and in Vancouver at both the MACC's Connecting Community Dance Series and Arts Umbrella's Studio Series. Parallel to her performance work, Natalie is also a contemporary dance instructor (member of the faculty for the Professional Division at the Parksville Ballet School), and has appeared in Elle fashion magazine and on screen in a feature role for an independent film starring John Malkovich.
