Iris Bahr in DAI 2.0
2020 Chutzpah! Festival host Iris Bahr is back with a tour de force virtual performance and a special offer just for Chutzpah! audiences. Her critically acclaimed solo show DAI (enough), in which she inhabited 10 different characters in a Tel Aviv cafe moments before a suicide bomber enters, was performed at the United Nations for over 100 ambassadors and delegates, had a hit run off-Broadway, and has toured around the world, including a visit to the 2019 Chutzpah! Festival.
The sequel, DAI 2.0, follows up with the aftermath of the bombing fifteen years later, as a reporter who survived the original bombing returns to interview a wide range of family members of the victims. With humor and pathos, the show explores the current state of the conflict and Israeli society: both its lovers and its critics, delving into the plight of the Palestinians, modern Anti-Semitism in Germany and the plight of Holocaust Survivors in Israel today, and more. Originally slated to be performed onstage in New York, Iris and her creative collaborators have fully reimagined the work to make use of the virtual setting.
Iris will join Chutzpah! Artistic Director Jessica Gutteridge for a live Q&A immediately following the presentation. Use the special code CHUTZPAH for $5 off the regular price of $15.
